Which game do you guys think looks sharper? I put up an image that compares player detail and general graphics. Like for instance look at the basketball court. To me this is the only thing that looks slightly better graphically in NBA Elite. NBA 2K11 player models in all the images i have seen really have looked pretty sick. I think 2KSports wanted to take that that to the next level this year. And actually the one other thing that looks sharper in NBA Elite is the crowd. If you look closely at this screen shot comparison you should see what i mean. No wonder why NBA Live was always trash, they spend all there time on the crowd rather then fixing the robotic gameplay haha… The basketball itself looks better in the NBA 2K11 image. But i certainly think NBA 2K11 player models will look spot on this year, especially the superstar players. Click on the image to enlarge it.

I think the ball and court look better in elite, and the crowd looks better in 2k11. I think both are a wash in terms of player models, and a wash being they kind of suck. I think what helps in the player models dept. is the animation of those players. Even in nba live last year, the player models sort of looked more realistic…when they werent actually doing something user based that is. But ea has always been good with lighting affects and animation fluidity. What sucks with ea has been the actual gameplay, and the animation that went along with it. From shots, to dunks, to just setting screens….it always looked and felt robotic. So if we are gonna compare player models….im gonna have to use animated player models…
elite has better gear like the half calf sleves in 2k they look just stupid

To this guy PiccolOmar, dont try and say that live is even somewhat or even close to being better than 2k because it isnt it cant be and it wont ever be. 2K runs everything and dominates live completely. But only thing other than that is does anyone know anything about the game modes that are going to be on 2K11, will there still be myplayer, and crew games? If anyone knows let me know or a site that talks more about the game modes that will be on 2K11.

This isn’t a fair comparison because you’re comparing the Orlando Magic’s court to the Sixer’s court. They both have different type of wood on their courts.
A true an accurate comparison would be to compare the same exact court from the different games.

Its was NBA Jam on the snes that was ill then Live untill 2000, when 2k came out for the dreamcast I was sold. I said this game will topple NBA Live one day and look what they did, made then change the name of the franchise completely!

nba elite looks way better the players a normal size. the shoes and sleeves everything just looks better. 2k11 does play better but not way better. they steal the ball way to much. and why are the player so buff and dont come close to looking like who they are supposed to be. plus the players look transparent. ea shouldve just released elite they have die hards who wouldve got it.

I have nba 2k11 and i’ve played the demo of nba elite. The graphics on Elite are better. There really is no comparison. Even NBA Live 09 is graphically better than 2k11. With some players in 2k11, you can’t even tell who they are. Westbrook looks nothing like him for example. EA sports just does better graphically. Their FIFA series look great too. I’m being objective. I wish NBA 2K11 would work a little harder on their graphics. I know gameplay is all-important, but I also love a good-looking game, and 2k lacks in that dept.
