NBA 2K11 Post Moves

Performing post moves in NBA 2K11  can be frustrating unless you know what your doing. I found some pretty nice videos on youtube breaking down some of the basic and advanced moves. In any type of situation when doing post moves you need good spacing. If you have to many defenders / body’s near you while in the post, thats more traffic you will need to deal with when getting a shot off. One way i like to get into a nice one on one situation in the post is by simply calling out quick isolation just before or during a post up.  This will spread the floor out for you allowing you to work one on one with whoever is defending you. It’s also nice spreading out the court while engaged in the post in case your opponent is trying to cheat a second defender at you or double team you. If thats the case you will easily be able to recognize the open man for a jumper or three point attempt.  Below are some nice tutorials going over basic and advanced post moves.

Sleeper Players?

Damn i just got to say this is probably the best sports game i have ever played. NBA 2K11 is packed with fun and interesting game modes, player models are spot on, animations and signature moves suit the players well (especially the star players.) Every year theres a handful of sleeper players. Here is my early list of dominant players that are not rated all that high. I say this is my early list because roster updates have not started yet and they probably won’t tell the NBA season starts, October 26th.

Josh Childress: Has one of the smoothest releases in the game. Shoot around with him in practice mode you will swoosh everything. Hasheem Thabeet: Size is still a huge advantage in NBA 2K11 for the blocked shots, easy layups under the basket, and for rebounding. Xavier Henry: The rookie for the Memphis Grizzlies shoots lights out in NBA 2K11 because of his easy release, offensive awareness, and he has great speed. JaVale McGee: 7ft shot blocker for the Wizards is a play maker on the defensive end. Finishing on him is a difficult task. Ekpe Udoh: The Warriors rookie is a beast and will provide you with some much needed interior defense on this ball club. He can also hit the mid range shot which is important in NBA 2K11. Being able to stretch the defense with all 5 guys keeps your opponent honest on defense.

Who are some of your favorite sleeper players?
